Producers in the Marostica area have recently completed the 2021 cherry season.

Unlike the early varieties, which were affected by the rainy weather in May and the increase in flights of Drosophila Suzukii, the late varieties of corn were also preserved by the use of insect-proof and anti-cracking cover.

One of our clients, a farm owner in the Colceresa area with 3 hectares of cherry orchards, one of which is covered with a rain and fly-repellent system, claimsthat compared to the majority of cherry growers in the PGI area, this new cover has allowed him to reduce pesticide treatments by 50% and stay on the market for a week longer.

Thanks to the use of rainproof nets and sheets on the cherry orchards, it is therefore possible to avoid market crises and offer a high quality and healthy product in any climatic conditions.

(see the example of the Vignola area, with cover systems present on 30% of the cultivated surfaces)
